Frequently Asked Questions

Will I Be Sore After My First Adjustment?

The correct answer is possibly.

Our bodies are used to being in a comfort zone. Once we inflict change to our bodies, even though it’s a positive change, they'll usually put up some form of resistance. For the first 24–48 hours after the first adjustment, you can typically expect some ups and downs. You may have times during the day that you feel great, other times you may feel worse. This is your body’s way of acclimating to the new change and new position that it is in.

How severe your condition is and how much pain and discomfort you were experiencing before the adjustment can also affect the level of potential discomfort. We will typically give you home recommendations, like increasing your fluids or using ice, to help alleviate any discomfort.
